The Mind Spa was founded by Licensed Psychologist, Lauren K. Mason Ph.D. to teach patients to effectively manage their mental health using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods coupled with a behavioral wellness philosophy that emphasizes the importance of creating a balanced lifestyle. 

Since 2006, Mind Spa clinicians have effectively treated all levels of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, trauma and interpersonal challenges. Our focus has always been helping older and younger adults, children, and families develop the skills necessary to create a general sense of well-being that can be self-implemented long after treatment is complete.  

The Mind Spa philosophy is to equip individuals with the tools needed to manage stressful situations and have a sense of agency to manage and improve one’s day to
day life.

Dr. Mason received her doctoral degree from Fordham University and specializes in anxiety, mood disorders and elderly persons disorders. She uses a range of techniques
including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

The Mind Spa presently has locations in Bethesda, Maryland and Naples, Florida and is proud to have been awarded “2020 Best of Naples Award” for three consecutive years.

In addition to having licensed psychologists on staff, we also integrate CBT and Yoga Therapy. With this combination, we focus on a growth mindset approach to help you feel your best and accomplish your goals. 

Yoga therapy is a growing field and scientific evidence has begun to emphasize its efficacy. It is used to treat existing mental and physical health issues, but can also be used as a self-care strategy for prevention and maintenance.

Potential benefits from yoga therapy include stress reduction, psychological well-being, improved diet, and efficient functioning of bodily systems.
